A NOTE FROM THE CHOREOGRAPHER
Grand Night for Singing was an unexpected gift—one that reminded us, in the most vivid way, why we create theater in the first place. I got the call on an ordinary afternoon and found myself in rehearsal the very next day, diving headfirst into a whirlwind of collaboration, creativity, and joy.
In the midst of a time when stages were dark and audiences distanced, this production carved out a rare and necessary space—a chance to celebrate the sheer delight of live performance. Set as a revue of Broadway’s most beloved hits, the show became a love letter to musical theatre itself.
I’ll never forget the electricity in the room when the curtain rose. For many, it was the first time back in a theater after months of silence. The energy was palpable, the audience leaning forward, hungry for the magic we’d all missed. That moment—pure, collective, and alive—was unforgettable. It was a reminder that nothing compares to the shared thrill of live storytelling.
